Have you watched the Netflix show Dear White People yet? If not, the gals at Our House definitely recommend you do. It’s one of those binge-watch-in-twelve-hours shows that catches you immediately. It’s an unflinching and satirical view of “post-racial” America that will make you laugh, cry, sigh deeply, roll your eyes...you get the idea. If you’re white, it probably will make you feel a little uncomfortable. Which is a GOOD thing. Conversations around social and racial injustices are not supposed to be comfortable. But they are supposed to be had. And we applaud shows like Dear White People for not only creating awesome and entertaining art, but also for driving forward these tough conversations.
